Accessibility statement.

Navaratnas should be usable by everyone, with a keyboard, a screen reader, a phone held in one hand, or a browser zoomed to 200%. This page says what we aim for, what we have checked, and what is still not good enough.

Statement date: September 17, 2026 · Reviewed after every site release.

1. Our target

We build and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Fixes are made in the HTML and CSS of the site itself.

2. Where we are today

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. In the September 2026 review we checked every public page for:

  • a skip link, page landmarks, one main heading and an ordered heading outline;
  • a visible focus ring on every link, button and field, and a menu that works from the keyboard;
  • text contrast of at least 4.5:1 and a minimum text size of 12px;
  • no sideways scrolling from 320px wide upward, and touch targets of at least 44px in menus and forms;
  • labels on every form field, and results announced to screen readers;
  • no animation that loops, and reduced motion when your device asks for it.

3. Known limitations

  • Screen readers. The site has not yet had a full pass with VoiceOver and NVDA. That is the next step in our review.
  • Charts. The index performance charts are drawn on a canvas. The same numbers are shown in the tables under each chart, but the chart itself is not readable by a screen reader.
  • Email archives. Archived digests are stored as they were sent. They use email-style table layout and scroll sideways on narrow phones.
  • Sign in and checkout. These are provided by a third party (Werify). We have not audited their screens.

4. Tell us about a barrier

Email [email protected] with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five business days, and we can send you the content in another format if you need it.

5. How this was assessed

Self-assessment by the Navaratnas team on September 17, 2026: measurements in Chrome at widths from 280px to 1440px, a keyboard walk of the main pages, and contrast calculations for every text and surface pair in the site theme. It was not an independent audit.
